Summary:
Discussed potential items for the next coding sprint.
- Need to complete spawning and proximity scans before closing out current milestone.
- Animations are currently hard coded and not linked to state.
Items For IronicDemo Completion:
1. Basic physics engine. CD and Response but also spear trajectory.
1. Shader system. Henri wants enough to do lanterns, normal mapping, embers, fires and anisotropic shading.
1. Tree system. This will rely on the shader system for transparency.
1. Scripting system. A unified engine would be preferred but a separate engine for shaders may be necessary, needs exploring.
1. GUI. Make it scriptable, update to meet current CEGUI version, and design a layout.
1. Maya Plugin. Animation export, tree creation, vegetation and testing.
1. Basic game logic. Throwing spears, collecting scores and guilds.
1. Dumb NPCs. Horse, barkeep. Wanderers but maybe barkeep sells stuff.
1. Multi-shard support. Allow us to maintain autonomous worlds for players and devs.
1. Server management. Allow us to manage the services via AS/AES as well as players/customers and their characters.
High Priority:
- Scripting, Physics, and Maya
Low Priority: - NPCs, Multi-Shard and Server Management
Middle Priority: - Shaders, trees, GUI and Game Logic.
Action Items:
1. Ask Jason about Terms document, is the copy in CVS the most recent?
